International Academy of Design & Technology (IADT)
International Academy of Design and Technology of San Antonio and Telemundo-KVDA TV unveiled the three designs selected by Grammy nominee Stefani Montiel for her trip to the awards show in Los Angeles. The "Proyecto Divina Runway Show" was held at the Rio Plaza in San Antonio.
A number of design students from the local Academy submitted their designs, ten semi-finalists were chosen and viewers of Telemundo-KVDA TV voted on their favorites. Montiel will be showcasing the two winning dresses for events before and after the upcoming Grammy Awards, with the top garment being worn during the award show. The elite celebration included a fashion show featuring the designs of students from IADT-San Antonio, along with a ceremony honoring Montiel for her Grammy nomination. Attendees included special celebrity guests, Academy students and staff, and representatives from Telemundo.
"The students at IADT- San Antonio are extremely talented and we are excited to showcase their work at a nationally-recognized event," said Cynthia Rangal, Fashion Design Program Chair at the Academy.
