It’s starting to get HOT in here, and it should be... its Summer Time! I Hope everyone had a good spring. Summer is here and in Texas that means tubing, lake time, pool-side parties and any other excuse to stay cool. This summer’s line-up and runway had floral printed dresses, hot swimsuits, flirty tops, comfy rompers, sexy shorts, and colorful accessories… there is something for everyone this season. Your fashion should reflect what you plan on spending most of your time doing. Forget rules, summer doesn’t really have any, so R.E.L.A.X. and grab yourself a drink… let’s see what summer has heating up for us.
1. A cute swimsuit - its summer and this is a necessity with so many choices this year from bikini’s to those hot one piece mono-kinis there are so many choices this year!
2. Something White - This is the color of summer, not only will it keep you on the cool side, you will look great doing it. Bottoms, capris, shorts, and dresses this is a no-brainer to pull off.
3. Cover-up - Get yourself a cute sundress that you can use as a swimsuit cover-up and can also be used as a great dress to wear out at night. You can multi task with this piece.
4. Basics- Get yourself lots of cute tank tops and flip flops… they go with everything, and the possibilities are endless. You can pair flip flops with any outfit, and tanks go with all bottoms.
5. Rompers - Nothing says summer more than a flirty-yet-practical romper. This hot trend is not going anywhere, not only does it make putting your outfit together a breeze, but also won’t hurt your budget.
6. Bootie Sandals - This style is a mixture of a flat bootie and sandal. It has a material that covers your heel and ankles, but beware ladies… your toes will be seen, get pedicures.
7. Sneakers - Believe it or not sneakers and sporty looks are in, they have been spotted by numerous style icons. So if sneakers = summer, than this style = easy!!
8. Flirty Tops - Tops that are breezy and shear will work overtime to keep you cool in the heat and give you great looks for day or night
9. BEADED ACCESSORIES - You can complete a basic top or a strapless dress with a simple beaded necklace. When you combine the color of the beads with your clothes, necklaces and bracelets will make your outfit (and you) stand out.
SYDNEY SHORT These shorts are really short! This trend dares you to be brave so beware, this look is not for everyone! If you have long and beautiful legs, show them off. Wear them with a pair of wedges and your legs will look GORGEOUS!
HOT : COLOR the official colors of summer 2010 is Turquoise and White, they are all the rage this season. Summer gives us visions of beach vacations and ocean waters all in tropical turquoise. And white is so easy to pair with anything, they are a breeze color combo that I love! If you are not a fan of Turquoise, try it small... maybe with a white dress. Use it as an accessory piece, the color pop is sensational, I promise. For my daredevils, try it any way you like... it’s a home-run on swimsuits, but halters and wedges as well.
HOT : TOPS/DRESS girls will never give up wearing outfits with some form of floral print on them! No matter what, summer always gives people more energy. Is there something about wearing a floral print dress that makes us feel more energized? Either way, you can NOT go wrong with a floral print dress... they have so many great styles out there, there’s one for every size and shape. As for tops, sheer fabric is the trend, no one can deny that this material makes us all feel sexy ! This transparent look is good enough to keep you cool, while looking hot. Sheer flirty tops are really the ones for summer.
HOT : BOTTOMS Ah capris!, they never seem to go out of style and are great in the summer for shopping, strolling on the beach, basically anything... match with tanks and flip flops and you’re good to go. Insights also suggest hemlines that hit mid-calf look good on anyone. The other summer craze is extremely short shorts... this trend is a little unfair to more than 50 % of us, but the ones who can, please do so! Nothing says summer like this... they are H.O.T.!!!
HOT : ACCESSORIES anything bold or bright ! Find your favorite color and run with it. Try handbags, necklaces, earrings, leggings, shoes, wedges, you name it... bright colors add an instant upgrade to even a “last year” summer outfit, and no-one will notice but you. This one is great if your tight on cash... try a cute tote/handbag to brighten up your mood and wardrobe.
HOT : TRENDS this is summer, so where is the fun without a sunkissed tan? Your glow will make any outfit look good! But, don’t forget to lather on the SPF when you’re outside. Be safe in the sun! Besides working on your tan, hair and makeup should be a breeze... windblown, “beachy” hair is actually “a style”, and your sunglasses actually work into your hair-do. If you don’t like your hair down in the heat, try a high bun, the benefits with a tight bun is you will be able to show off all the details of your face, and make it easier to get suntanned in the process.
